Encodes and decodes a URL component, not an entire URL. A + remains a literal plus; query-string parsing handles form-style spaces.

Processed locally in your browser

Your input does not need to be uploaded to an EvryNest server. Nothing is saved automatically.

How It Works

  1. 1
    Paste encoded text

    Enter a percent-encoded URL component.

  2. 2
    Decode escapes

Convert valid percent sequences back to Unicode.

  3. 3

Copy the decoded value without navigating to a URL.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does URL Decoder work?

Malformed percent escapes and invalid UTF-8 are rejected. A plus sign remains a plus; use Query String Parser for form encoding.

Does this tool upload or save my input?

Core processing happens locally in this browser tab. Input and output are not sent to a processing server or stored automatically. Copy and download only occur when you request them.

What happens with large or invalid inputs?

Input limits and errors are shown in the workspace. JSON supports up to 1 MB and 100 nesting levels; large previews can be truncated while downloads retain the full result.
