Frequently Asked Questions

How does Text Sorter work?

Numeric sorting requires one finite number per line. Alphabetical order uses the browser locale; length counts Unicode code points.

Does this tool upload or save my input?

Core processing happens locally in this browser tab. Input and output are not sent to a processing server or stored automatically. Copy and download only occur when you request them.

What happens with large or invalid inputs?

Text tools accept up to 200,000 characters. Numeric sorting and diff apply additional checks. Invalid input displays an error so you can correct it.
