How are passwords generated?

The browser's cryptographic random generator chooses characters without modulo bias. Every selected character class is included, and the character positions are shuffled.

What does the entropy estimate mean?

It is a conservative estimate based on random character selection. It cannot account for password reuse, exposure, a compromised device or how a service stores the password.
